The Arena

Verona's amphitheatre, better known as the "Arena", is one of the greatest and best-preserved monuments dating back to Roman times. With its almost 76 metre long major axis and over 44 metre long minor axis, it is the third largest amphitheatre in Europe after Rome's Coliseum and Capua's amphitheatre, near Naples.

Juliet's House

In a courtyard in Via Cappello stands "Juliet's House", a thirteenth-century building identified as the home of Shakespeare's heroine and the destination of lovers from around the world.
In the courtyard, that hosts the statue of Juliet by Nereo Constatini, one can admire the renowned balcony described in the tragedy, from Romeo's point of view.

These monuments, along with many others (Torre dei Lamberti, Arche Scaligere, the City Walls, the bridges along the Adige rover) adorn Verona's striking city center, which has been included in UNESCO'S World Heritage Site list for its unique layout and architectural value.
